In 2005, he won 11 Singles and four Masters titles. In April 2002, with his defeat of Ramon Delgado, Parera won his first A.T.P. junior event, he reached the semifinals of the junior Singles at Wimbledon. When Parera turned 15, he became a professional tennis player. He defeated Pat Cash, a former Grand Slam tournament champion, in a 2021 exhibition match.
